Kevin Jernigan

Co-Founder and CEO, Xpiron

A high technology industry veteran with a life-long passion for squash, Kevin Jernigan founded Xpiron in March 2000 to harness the power of the Web to deliver a comprehensive self-booking solution for the health club industry.

Prior to forming Xpiron, Mr. Jernigan was President and Co-Founder of Emergent Corporation. Emergent grew to a $4.5 million consulting business and was acquired by Keane. After the acquisition, Mr. Jernigan continued as the Managing Director of the Data Warehousing practice.

Mr. Jernigan has been an independent consultant, advising clients on the implementation and performance administration of the Oracle RDBMS and Parallel Server products. He also worked at Oracle for more than four years, where his responsibilities included performance benchmarking Oracle database technology, creating and delivering training classes on Oracle performance tuning, and co-authoring the first edition of the Oracle Performance Tuning Guide.

Mr. Jernigan is former President of the United States Squash Rackets Association (USSRA). He holds an A.B. in Computer Science from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in 1987.

Stan Cardenas

Stan Cardenas is President and Founder of Cardenas Financial Services Consulting, providing regulatory, strategic, and technology consulting services to senior management of financial institutions and technology companies. His clients include PeopleSoft, Western Union, PayPal, Wells Fargo Bank, PCI Services, Online Resources, and Mother Lode Holding Company.

Through Cardenas Financial Services Consulting, Mr. Cardenas has been involved in many start-up Internet ventures, and in addition to his involvement with Xpiron, currently serves on the advisory boards of National Closing Solutions and Medici, Inc.

Prior to Cardenas Financial Services Consulting, Mr. Cardenas served more than seven years with the California State Banking Department (now Department of Financial Institutions) as the Chief Deputy and Acting Superintendent of Banks.

Mr. Cardenas is a graduate of the Notre Dame Law School where he obtained his Juris Doctor. He also obtained his undergraduate Bachelor of Administration degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Erik Christoffersen

Erik Christoffersen is the Executive Director of the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society. In this capacity he is leading the $86 million effort to restore the Old Mint Building in San Francisco into a History Museum and Visitor’s Center.

Prior to this job, he worked for more than 7 years in the health and fitness industry as a senior executive for Apex Fitness Group (subsidiary of 24 Hour Fitness) and Asimba (an Internet sports and fitness service now part of Weider Publications). Erik has 20 years of experience in strategy, sales, and business development for IBM and several technology-oriented start-ups. He has a MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors degree from the University of Virginia.

He currently sits on the boards of Summer Search (San Francisco), The Scandinavian School in San Francisco and Xpiron, a San Francisco on-line booking technology company, and he is on the advisory board of Values Market, an emerging national performance monitoring / web brokerage service for successful sustainable development efforts across the U.S.
